James Gibb

  James Gibb, CI-Discern's lead OT security architect, brings 30+ years of critical infrastructure cybersecurity expertise spanning military leadership, national laboratory research, and Big Four consulting.


At the Idaho National Laboratory, he spearheaded ICS cybersecurity assessments and CISA-validated architecture reviews, while delivering actionable threat intelligence to strengthen national infrastructure resilience. At Ernst & Young, he transformed OT cybersecurity governance and established industry-leading standards in security architecture.


His US Navy career focused on cyber threat intelligence and incident response, developing capabilities that protect critical systems. This military experience, combined with deep technical knowledge, enables James to architect robust security solutions that anticipate and counter emerging threats.


James has helped shape regulatory frameworks in the energy and natural gas sectors, bridging compliance requirements with practical security measures. His unique blend of technical mastery, strategic vision, and hands-on leadership in both civilian and military contexts make him invaluable to CI-Discern's mission of securing critical infrastructure against sophisticated cyber threats. 

Cody Duffy

Cody Duffy is a cybersecurity transformation leader and former Naval nuclear officer with extensive experience in operations and cybersecurity. He is a proven agile leader with over a decade of project management experience, successfully managing technical and non-technical teams in critical infrastructure sectors, including cybersecurity, information technology, operational technology, physical security, and mission-critical systems. He has worked in diverse sectors such as nuclear, oil & gas, manufacturing, agriculture, military, and maritime. 


While in the Navy, he served aboard the USS The Sullivans, where he oversaw operations and completed the Navy’s nuclear power program before transferring to the USS George Washington to manage a $2.8B nuclear refueling overhaul project. He led large divisions and coordinated interdisciplinary teams to redeliver the carrier, extending its service by 25 years. Transitioning to Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, he transformed the site’s cybersecurity program for physical security systems. At Ernst & Young, he delivered operational technology assessments, implemented compliance solutions, and strengthened resiliency for multiple clients. Cody holds a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA with a cybersecurity management focus from the University of South Carolina. 


By building strong relationships and understanding each organization’s unique needs, he helps safeguard essential operations by providing strategic security roadmaps, transformation strategies, and similar services for critical infrastructure clients worldwide.

Krisha Capeto

Krisha Capeto is an experienced consultant who has led and supported major technology transformation and consulting engagements for Fortunes 500 clients across the financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, and utilities sectors. With this diverse background, Krisha has been involved in all stages of the delivery lifecycle, from strategy development to execution, with particular expertise in agile software development and program management.


In 2022, Krisha transitioned from technology and management consulting to lead strategic initiatives for a $43M fintech company. This experience fueled her passion for combining technology consulting with entrepreneurship, prompting her to join CI-Discern. At CI-Discern, Krisha leads various consulting engagements while also bringing an operational focus. Known for her ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver results, Krisha is committed to driving business outcomes at all levels.

Steve Swick

Steve Swick has dedicated his professional life to protecting Critical Infrastructure. He joins CI-Discern’s leadership team after a distinguished career in the electric sector where he was most recently the Chief Security Officer over cyber and physical security and the NERC CIP Senior Manager at American Electric Power (AEP). AEP is one of the largest energy companies in the US and has the largest transmission system, diverse generation assets, and over 4,000 substations. 


Steve has served on the Member Executive Committee for the Electric Sector ISAC, and was appointed the CEO’s +1 for the Executive Sector Coordinating Council (ESCC). The ESCC serves as the principal liaison between the federal government and the electric power industry. 


Steve has also served as the Executive Committee Chair for the Energy Analysis & Resilience Center (ARC) a cross-sector organization designed to mitigate systemic risks to the nation's most critical infrastructure.


While at CI-Discern, Steve will continue as a distinguished member of the IANS Faculty, where he advises security teams across multiple industries. Steve chose to work with CI-Discern after meeting with the leadership team and feeling their shared passion about protecting the US and its allies from cyber-attacks, while sharing knowledge and expertise with others.
